Vietti Barbera d'Asti Tre Vigne
The grapes are selected from young vines, approximately 10 years old, located in Agliano d'Asti. The must fermented in stainless steel tanks for 14 days, after which the wine was aged for 14 months in French oak barrels or Slavonian oak casks and then transferred to stainless steel tanks for two months until bottling.
A medium-bodied wine presenting ripe red cherry aromas, notes of mineral and vanilla with refreshing acidity and soft tannins on the finish.
This traditional expression of northern Italy's classic table wine has so much versatility beyond the realm of pasta with pomodoro. Fatty fishes topped with fresh herbs and diced tomatoes feels like a perfect fit, though this wine certainly has the ability to stand up to poulty dishes with a heavy dose of funghi.
