Golser Wein was established by Harald Lehner in 1995 out of passion and persistence. His father had 15ha farmed to grapes and wheat and everything was sold in bulk. The business struggled and could not support him so after finishing school he went to work for a family wine company to gain experience producing bottled wine. His hard work earned him a 20% share of this business but when the owners divorced, they sold everything and he was left starting from scratch. At this point, Harald decided he would employ himself and be in control of his own destiny.
