Grosjean Cornalin Vigne Rovettaz Vallee d'Aoste
ABOUT
ABOUT
Grosjean's Cornalin "Vigne Rovettaz" is a distinguished red wine from Italy's Valle d'Aosta region, specifically the village of Quart. This wine is crafted from the Cornalin grape, a local variety unique to the area, not to be confused with the Cornalin of the Valais region in Switzerland. The grapes are sourced from a half-hectare of vines planted on the steep, south-facing slopes of the Rovettaz vineyard, characterized by sandy glacial moraine soils. The grapes are destemmed and undergo spontaneous fermentation in 42-hectoliter tronconic wooden vats for two weeks, followed by aging for eight months in foudres.
