Tequila is Mexico in a glass. Made from blue agave grown in the volcanic soils around Jalisco, it's a spirit with deep roots — the Aztecs were fermenting agave centuries before the first bottle was ever distilled in the 1500s.

What makes it special is how little the craft has changed. Agave is still harvested by hand by jimadores, who know exactly when to cut — too early and the plant isn't sweet enough, too late and the sugars are gone. The hearts are pressed, fermented, and distilled (sometimes the old way, with a stone wheel), then often rested in oak to round out the edges.

The result? A spirit with centuries of tradition in every sip.
