Chicken Cock 20 Year Old Cotton Club Rye Whiskey - Grain & Vine | Natural Wines, Rare Bourbon and Tequila Collection

Chicken Cock 20 Year Old Cotton Club Rye Whiskey

$ 499

Initially established in Paris, Kentucky, in 1856, Chicken Cock was forced to move production up to Canada during Prohibition. The Canadian Rye whiskey produced during that period was then smuggled back into the U.S. in tin cans, earning the brand the nickname “The whiskey in a tin can.”

Cotton Club Rye is light and sweet, which makes it very approachable. It’s finish is where its age shows itself most, nicely contrasting its bright palate with musty oak and some astringency. It is an easy recommendation for rye lovers looking for something unusual, but the sticker shock will prohibit most from enjoying it.

  • Proof: 100
  • Age: 20 Years
  • Mashbill: 90% Rye, 10% Malted Barley
