The Singleton Glen Ord 15 Years Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Glen Ord is one of three distilleries (along with Dufftown and Glendullan) which use The Singleton brand. The 15 Year Old is rich and complex with notes of ginger, vanilla and melon.

On the palate, the whisky is velvety and smooth, coating the mouth gently with layers of succulent melon, zesty orange oil, and sweet sultanas that blend harmoniously with the flavors of spiced biscuits. As the taste journey continues, the whisky grows richer and more decadent, with the addition of crystallized ginger and ginger biscuits that are covered in a luxuriously creamy chocolate coating, with hints of vanilla.

The finish of this whisky is of medium length and beautifully balanced, with a rich and creamy choux pastry flavor that is complemented by a cool, thick creaminess. The toasted notes and dry cocoa powder that follow create an impression of a bittersweet chocolate tart, which is both delicious and satisfying. Finally, the lingering warmth and richness of the whisky build to a gloriously comforting and fulfilling conclusion.
