Tuscany

Sweeping East from Italy’s Mediterranean coast towards Florence and South past Sienna towards the villages of Montalcino and Montepulciano, Tuscany’s memorable wines match its scenic hillsides. With only one white wine DOCG (Vernaccia di San Gimignano), the vast majority of reds are based on Sangiovese. Chianti and Chianti Classico are certainly the most widely recognized, but higher end offerings like Brunello di Montalcino or Vino Nobile di Montepulciano have captured the imagination of drinkers for decades.
