ABOUT

This wine is the result of a real dream of a group of friends. The label is based on an old medical drawing of the science of phrenology, which assigned personal traits to the contours of one’s skull, with areas devoted to specific temperaments and skills. Otto is singularly contoured to think about wine constantly! OCD harks from sustainably farmed and meticulously maintained vineyards in the Awatere and Wairau Valleys of Marlborough, New Zealand. Fiona’s aim is to produce wines that are fresh and approachably fruit driven, supported by balanced structural elements, mineral driven characteristics, persistent length and elegance.

TastingNotes Medium-bodied and dry, this wine is highly aromatic a classicly New Zealand balance of minerals, gooseberry, citrus, and acidity. A waft of herbaciousness, typical to the region, comes through up front, with freshly cut grass and freshly picked green pepper.

FoodPairings We love the versatility of Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, with its ability to go with everything from summer salads to exquisitely procured shellfish. Our recent favorite though, is throwing this wine with Weiner Schnitzel that's been finished with fresh lemon.
