ABOUT

Atilia Montepulciano d'Abruzzo is a vibrant expression of the Abruzzo region's rich winemaking heritage, crafted from the Montepulciano grape. This red wine is celebrated for its robust flavor profile and organic cultivation methods, ensuring a pure expression of the varietal and the terroir.

From the Producer: Jasci family has been producing wine for three generations, focusing all efforts on the pursuit of the absolute quality of every bottle. A passion for wine that was born with grandfather Pasquale and his wife Maria in the '60s, growing over the years thanks to his son Giuseppe and his wife Irma, who gave the historic turn of the organic in 1980, handed down since the early '90s to Donatello Jasci and his wife Piera, who lead the company with the help and participation of their predecessors who still bring experience and wisdom.

Montepulciano, This delicious wine comes from 15-20-year-old vines trained using the ancient method of trellising, known as "pergola." They are planted to clay-rich soils, hand-harvested and wild yeast fermented for 2 weeks on the skins in stainless tanks. After a light fining and filtering, the wine is bottled. It offers rich, bright plum and cherries, with a lip-smacking finish.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: The wine opens with a compelling aroma of dark cherries and ripe plums, complemented by a subtle hint of spice and earthy undertones.

Palate: On the palate, Atilia Montepulciano d'Abruzzo delivers a full-bodied experience, rich with flavors of blackberries and a touch of oak, balanced by a pleasing tannic structure.

Finish: It concludes with a smooth and persistent finish, echoing the fruity and spicy nuances.

FOOD PAIRING

This wine is an excellent companion to hearty dishes such as grilled meats, pasta with rich tomato sauces, and aged cheeses. Its versatility also makes it a fine match for mushroom risotto and herb-roasted vegetables.
