ABOUT

The 2020 Ca' del Baio Autinbej Barbaresco DOCG is a tribute to traditional winemaking, embodying the essence of the Nebbiolo grape from Piedmont's esteemed Barbaresco region. This wine is named 'Autinbej'—a Piemontese term for the best vineyard exposures, reflecting the sunlit origins of its grapes.

Autinbej is crafted through traditional red vinification, involving maceration on the skins in stainless steel tanks, followed by 24 months in large Slavonian oak barrels and additional bottle aging. Recognized for its excellent value, this vintage has been rated highly for its quality compared to other wines in the same category.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: The Autinbej offers a rich bouquet of intense fruity aromas, reminiscent of raspberries and violets, intermingled with sweet spices and hints of cocoa.

Palate: On the palate, it presents a warm, persistent body with slight tannins, maintaining a beautiful balance of its fruit-forward character with an underlying ethereal quality.

Finish: The finish is long, echoing the fruity and spicy nuances that make this wine distinctly memorable.

FOOD PAIRING

This Barbaresco pairs traditionally with red meats but also complements duck, pork, and dishes with sweet, sour, or spicy sauces, thanks to its structure and fruity intensity.
