The 2018 Cerbaia Brunello di Montalcino is a distinguished expression of Tuscany's esteemed Montalcino region, crafted exclusively from 100% Sangiovese grapes. Situated at an elevation of 350 meters above sea level, the Cerbaia estate benefits from north-facing vineyards planted in marly, clay-schistose soils, which contribute to the wine's unique character. The 28-year-old vines are meticulously managed using the spurred cordon training system, ensuring optimal grape quality. Harvested in the last week of September, the grapes undergo fermentation in 50-hectoliter stainless steel vats, with a 15-day maceration period at controlled temperatures. The wine is then aged for 36 months in large Slavonian oak barrels, followed by an additional 6 months of bottle refinement, resulting in a Brunello that embodies the elegance and complexity characteristic of the region.
