ABOUT

Sierra de Toloño's 2024 Rosado is a captivating rosé that embodies the essence of Rioja Alavesa's high-altitude vineyards. Crafted by winemaker Sandra Bravo, this wine blends 60% Tempranillo and 40% Garnacha from old vines situated at approximately 700 meters elevation. The grapes are 100% destemmed, with partial skin maceration and direct pressing, followed by fermentation and aging in neutral French oak barrels on the lees. This meticulous process results in a fresh, mineral-driven wine that captures the purity and elegance of its mountainous terroir.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Delicate aromas of pomegranate, orange peel, and subtle floral notes.

Palate: Crisp and lively, featuring flavors of red berries, citrus, and a hint of salinity, balanced by vibrant acidity.

Finish: Clean and refreshing, leaving a lasting impression of minerality and fruit.

FOOD PAIRING

This rosé pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. Its bright acidity and mineral notes complement seafood such as grilled shrimp or seared scallops. It also enhances the flavors of fresh salads, goat cheese, and Mediterranean appetizers. For an optimal experience, serve chilled to fully appreciate its refreshing character.
