ABOUT

Domaine Pêcheur's 2023 Côtes du Jura Trousseau is a distinguished red wine from France's Jura region. Established in 1976 by Christian and Patricia Pêcheur, the estate has expanded to eight hectares, with vineyards primarily situated on the hillside slopes of Darbonnay and Passenans. The Trousseau vines thrive in red marlstone soils, contributing to the wine's unique character. Fermentation occurs spontaneously in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in used demi-muids, allowing the wine to develop depth and complexity

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Aromas of cherry and plum are complemented by a hint of licorice, offering a captivating and aromatic bouquet.

Palate: The palate reveals a variety-typical depth of fruit and breadth of structure, with flavors of cherry and plum augmented by a hint of licorice.

Finish: The finish is smooth and lingering, with a harmonious balance of fruit and subtle spice, leaving a lasting impression of elegance and finesse.

FOOD PAIRING

This versatile Trousseau pairs beautifully with a variety of dishes. Its balanced acidity and fruit-forward character make it an excellent companion to roasted poultry, grilled meats, and hearty stews. It also complements regional specialties such as coq au vin and Comté cheese. For a delightful pairing, enjoy it alongside a charcuterie platter or mushroom risotto.

Note: Serving at a temperature of 16-18°C (60-64°F) is recommended to fully appreciate the wine's aromatic complexity and balanced structure.
