ABOUT

A collaboration between Elixir and France's Lurton Brothers, the Fitz Roy project was created with the intention of bringing you hand crafted, terroir driven, sustainably farmed Chilean varietal wine with unbelievable pricing. Named for the highest mountain in Patagonia, whose granite flanks stand as a sentinel between Argentina and Chile.

TastingNotesDark garnet in color. Aromas of black plum, rich soil, toasted vanilla, and licorice. Fruity with dried raspberry, tar, roasted cherry, white pepper, black licorice, and a moderate oakiness. The tannins are soft and silky with a warming medium-length finish.

FoodPairingCarmenere naturally matches well with smoked, grilled or roasted meats, chicken, pork, lamb, beef and veal. Due to its character, it also holds up with and matches perfectly with some spicy dishes and strong, hard cheeses.
