Floral Terranes Cabernet Franc North Fork of Long Island

The Cabernet Franc grapes come from the Macari vineyards in the North Fork AVA. Macari is a leader of natural and sustainable farming on Long Island. This was 100% destemmed for its natural fermentation before going into neutral oak for aging.

This… this has energy. Compared to what you may expect from a Cabernet Franc, this is fresh and nearly zippy. It retains the classic dark berried fruit and luscious silky texture but without so much herbal and spicy greenness. There is a fresh core, minerality shall we say, and an intentional fine-ness to this wine. This is lovely.
