Francois Cazin Rose
ABOUT
ABOUT
78% Gamay/15% Pinot Noir/7% Côt. In 2017, Cazin opted to source fruit, rather than to use estate fruit, for his second vintage of rosé: 2017 was a difficult vintage in which he lost much of his own crop, so in order to produce estate red, he had to look elsewhere for rosé material. The fruit comes from a neighbor in the Touraine but it is classified simply as a Vin de France. The Gamay is direct-press and the Pinot is saignée. The wine is vinified in stainless steel and does not go through malolactic fermentation.
TastingNotesMedium-pink, berry-fruited and crisp.
