TastingNotes

• Nose: Flambeed pineapple, caramelized bananas, punchy vanilla wafers dusted in cinnamon, nail polish remover, the alcohol burn is strong on this one, but it is musky in a way that we really like, over time, the burn subsides more and more after some time, making it easier to pick out notes, some peach cobbler and maple syrup over some buttered flapjacks, this rum rewards the patient or probably those who hit this with a little water.
• Palate: Pineapple upside-down cake, eucalyptus, overripe plantain, oxidized apples, diesel fuel, mushrooms, tree bark and underbrush that we have associated in the Hampden Estate bottling, over time, smoked marshmallows, black licorice, and sandalwood introduce themselves, the oak on this is there but it more so accentuates the spirit rather than dominate it, the mouthfeel is thick and viscous but not syrupy, more creamy, it finishes with dark and heavy graphite and gunsmoke sensation that lasts for what feels like an eternity.
