How can a grandfathers simple pastime become a young woman’s passion and lifework? When working in the hills of Rovereto in the heart of the Gavi DOGC where sandy and clay rich soils impart remarkable attributes to the ancient Cortese grape. When winemaking tradition started in the 1950’s is passed from generation to generation and the dedication to preserve those characters of uniqueness is handed from mother to daughter. Third generation winemaker Francesca Poggio’s zeal for Gavi and oenologist Gaspare Buscemi partner to create the best quality wine from small yields.
