Jesse James Outlaw 7 Year Old Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey
ABOUT
ABOUT
This bourbon comes with its boots on. Jesse James Outlaw 7 Year Old Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey is a small-batch straight bourbon distilled and aged in Bardstown by Preservation Distillery.
Seven full years in new charred American oak and bottling at 109.4 proof give it a firm handshake and plenty of barrel-driven muscle.
The profile leans classic Kentucky but with extra grit. Slow maturation in fresh-char barrels builds deep caramel, vanilla bean, seasoned oak, and warm baking spice over a core of sweet corn and toasted grain.
Hints of leather, tobacco leaf, and dark fruit edge in as it opens, adding a pleasantly rough-around-the-edges character that matches the outlaw label.
Texture is where the proof really earns its keep. It rolls across the palate with a silky, coating feel, carrying brown sugar, charred oak, and a measured rye-like spice that lingers without turning harsh. This feels like a pour meant for heavy-bottomed glasses, late nights, and people who prefer their bourbon straightforward rather than polished to a shine.
