2017 Bosman Family Vineyards Pinotage Pet-Nat

Despite its recent surge in popularity, Pet-Nat is actually far from being the new kid on the block. This spritzy sparkler dates back pre-Champagne, making it the original way in which sparkling wine was made.

The wine is bottled prior to fully completing its fermentation, allowing carbon dioxide to be produced in the enclosed bottle by the natural sugars found in the grapes.

This wine is elegant and mostly clear, vibrant blue-purple hues and with some sediment. An Extra Brut sparkling in style, it is dry and refreshing. It is approachable to the newcomer to natural wines and the seasoned natural wine lover alike.
