ABOUT
ABOUT
Casa de Saima is one of Bairrada’s historic estates, long known for its mastery of the native Baga grape. In this Bruto Espumante, Baga shows a completely different personality—bright, lifted, and delicately structured, shaped by the region’s cool Atlantic breezes and limestone-rich soils.
Grapes are harvested early to preserve freshness, gently pressed, and fermented at low temperatures to highlight the grape’s floral and red-fruit character. Secondary fermentation in bottle follows the traditional method, giving the wine fine, persistent bubbles and subtle autolytic complexity without muting its natural vibrancy.
The result is an expressive, elegant Portuguese sparkling rosé: fragrant red berries, citrus zest, and wildflowers glide across a brisk, mineral-driven palate. There’s a touch of Baga’s signature structure, but here it feels refined—just enough to add shape and length. Dry, refreshing, and quietly distinctive, this Espumante offers artisanal charm and exceptional value.
