Chateau Du Claouset Bordeaux White
ABOUT
ABOUT
Chateau Du Claouset Bordeaux White is a refined dry white wine from the prestigious Bordeaux region in France, specifically from the Entre-Deux-Mers area. Produced by the esteemed Chateau Du Claouset winery, this wine is a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon grapes, showcasing the elegance and complexity characteristic of Bordeaux whites. With a commitment to quality and tradition, Chateau Du Claouset delivers a wine that beautifully expresses the terroir of the region.
The Siozard family have been living and working on the banks of the River Dordogne opposite the prestigious St Emilion vineyards since the late 19th Century and now cultivate more than 50 hectares of vines. Since the early 2010’s, the family has been focused on the environment, and in 2016 became certified sustainable growers. This Bordeaux Blanc is a blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc, 30% Semillon, 5% Sauvignon Gris, and 5% Muscadelle. The result is a crisp, classic dry white with bright acidity and notes of grapefruit and citrus peel. Perfect for an oily fish like salmon, or alongside mushroom risotto.
