Domaine Perol Beaujolais Nouveau
Domaine Pérol, a family estate founded in 1912 and located in the village of Chatillon in southern Beaujolais, approximately 5 miles northwest of Lyon. Estate grown. Hand harvested. Estate bottled. 5th generation winemaker Anthony Pérol took the helm in 2013, when he was merely 23 years old. Organic certified in 2005, Pérol works the soil with natural compost and spray the vineyards with herbal mineral mixes. Whole cluster fermentation in concrete vats for 6-8 days. Ageing occurs in concrete vats on fine lees to preserve freshness. Soil is composed of sandstone, sand and silt. SW exposure. 260m elevation. 23 hectares translating to approximately 7,500 cases total annual production.
