Gessamí 2024 shows why Gramona remains one of Penedès’ most respected estates.
The wine blends organically farmed Muscat d’Alexandria, Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains, Sauvignon Blanc, and a touch of Gewürztraminer—varieties that thrive in the region’s warm days, Mediterranean breezes, and chalk-rich soils.
Grapes are harvested at night for freshness, pressed gently, and fermented cool in stainless steel. This protects the wine’s heady floral perfume while keeping the palate crisp and focused. A short rest on fine lees adds a soft, silky feel without any weight.
The result is a white that feels both effortless and expressive: jasmine, orange blossom, and ripe peach glide into citrus zest, melon, and a whisper of mint. Bright acidity keeps the aromatics from turning sweet, finishing clean, dry, and refreshing with a subtle mineral line.
