Mijenta Reposado Tequila is a refined spirit that balances tradition, craft, and sustainability. Made from 100% blue agave grown in the red clay soils of the Jalisco Highlands, this tequila is overseen by maestra tequilera Ana María Romero. It is carefully aged for about six months in a blend of American white oak, French oak, and acacia barrels—each wood contributing its own unique nuance.

The aging brings out a richer body than a blanco, while still preserving the vivid agave character. Its presentation is elegant: a light golden hue, inviting aromas, and a texture that makes it well-suited both for sipping and for upscale cocktails.

TASTING NOTES

Nose: Vanilla appears first, followed by honey, preserved fruit, orange blossom, with delicate citrus and blossom aromas.

Palate: Rich cooked agave sweetness, caramel, light baking spice, cacao nibs, and mellow oak. There's also fruit tones and a gentle herbalness.

Finish: Long and generous. Oak and vanilla linger, with a touch of pepper, and a clean warmth. The wood char is present but well integrated.

FOOD PAIRING

Grilled or Roasted Meats: Pork chops, roasted chicken, or even short ribs—those oak and spice notes will match beautifully.

Rich Mexican Cuisine: Barbacoa, mole, or cochinita pibil would play well with its caramel, cooked agave, and spice profile.

Soft to Medium Aged Cheeses: Think queso añejo or Manchego; the rich creaminess and nuttiness will pair well with the vanilla and oak.
