Thomas-Labaille Les Monts Damnes Sancerre
The great hill in Sancerre so named because harvesting the grapes is backbreaking work. The slopes are too steep for mechanical intervention so everything is done by hand.
The wine shows concentrated Sauvignon flavours of fresh herbs and limes but with an intensity that makes it stand out from typical Sancerre. The palate is smooth and crisp with a finish that goes on and on
